Disease distribution by category

In this chart we took all the diseases that appeared in the TV series, we used the malacards website to classify them by the category they belong to. we can see that almost 1 in 5 diseases presented in the series is a rare disease. Genetic diseases are also a major part in the series. On the other hand, cancer which is a serious and "popular" disease among the public hardly forms part of the series

Note : Diseases can be in more than one category e.g "Rare Cancer "
